Kai is a first year PhD student in the Neuroscience Training Program. He completed his BS in Neuroscience at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. There, he completed an honors thesis under Kent Berridge where he studied the effects of corticotropoin-releasing factor from the central amygdala on motivation and reward. Kai is interested in how anesthetics modulate circut dynamics, the relationship between memory and emotion, and the influence of neurocircutry and behavoir. In his free time, Kai likes to cook, hike, canoe, and play the banjo.
