Pearce Lab Anesthetic mechanisms and memory

Cat Chu is a recent graduate of Lawrence University, Appleton, WI, class of 2024. She is currently working as a Research Intern in the lab, conducting extracellular electrophysiology experiments, immunohistochemistry, and microscopy. During her at Lawrence, she did undergraduate research under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Becker, whose work focuses on the integration of hormones, brain, and behavior using the California mouse (Peromyscus californicus) as the model species. Cat is interested in how neural circuits generate behaviors, especially memory and learning. She enjoys playing various sports (pickleball, volleyball, badminton), cooking, and playing the guitar and piano.
